CANCELLATION POLICY
We operate a 48 Hour Cancellation Policy, this enables us to offer the lesson to another pupil with plenty of notice to them.
If we have to cancel the lesson due to unforeseen circumstances, we will endeavour to inform you at the earliest opportunity. We do not cancel lessons lightly, as doing so results in a loss of income to the driving instructor. We would therefore request that, should you have to cancel with less than 48 hours’ notice, you understand that the lesson has to be charged at full price.
Whilst we understand that life can get in the way, and things happen. If you cancel persistently, i.e. more than 3 times with, or without, giving 48 hours’ notice, we will have to remove you from my diary and offer your lesson to someone else on the waiting list.
LESSONS AND PAYMENT
All lessons must be paid for in full in advance before the lesson date, this can be done by bank transfer. We do not accept cash payments.
If you wish to pay by bank transfer, the account details will be given upon request.
Please note, to benefit from the reduced prices on a block booking, the block must be paid for up front. Having e.g. 4 lessons without paying then paying for the block on the 5th lesson will not be an option.
If a block is paid for, lessons using the block payment, must be arranged within 6 months of payment. e.g. if you pay me for a block of 10 lessons on the 1st January, the lessons must be arranged or taken by 1st July. If you take 5 lessons and then decide to take a break, and we don’t hear from you for 6 months or more, the remaining lessons will be forfeited.
We will always endeavour to arrive on time to conduct the lesson, there are times however when, due to traffic, we may arrive late. If we are going to be 10 or more minutes late, we will call or text to let you know.
If you wish to finish the lesson at a location other than your pick-up address, please inform us, ideally before the lesson or at the start of the lesson, as it could affect the arrival time for the next pupil, therefore we may have to finish your lesson a little earlier.
BEHAVIOUR
At all times we will remain professional, courteous, and respectful and as such, we expect the pupils whom we teach to behave in the same way.
Abuse, either verbal or physical will not be tolerated and will be actioned upon immediately, by requesting that you leave the car immediately, we will then terminate the lesson and no further lessons will be conducted.
Do not drink a large amount of alcohol the night before a lesson (no alcohol is ideal), you will still be over the limit at lunchtime the next day, if we suspect that you may be over the limit, for example if there is a smell of alcohol, we reserve the right to refuse to let you drive, if this does happen, you will be charged the full fee for the lesson.
Please also ensure that you are not under the influence of any drugs or prescribed medication which prohibits driving.
VEHICLE POLICY
Smoking is not permitted in the car, this includes the use of any type of e-cigarette or vapour device, you are welcome to request a smoke break during your lesson, but you will have to exit the car.
All mobile phones and messaging devices must be switched (ideally) off or put on silent with no vibrate, this will minimise the distractions experienced whilst on your lesson.
HEALTH
Please ensure that you inform me of any health issues which could affect your short term ability to drive, e.g. panic attacks, asthma attacks, sudden migraines, severe anxiety etc.
